A special event to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research will be held Thursday, July 14 in conjunction with the Lake Panorama National women's golf league competition. Participants are asked to wear something pink.Those who register and pay $20 will be in the "closest-to-the-pin" contest. Anyone whose drive lands on the green on the designated par-3 hole and stays on wins a golf ball. The person closest to the pin wins a “grand prize”. Each Rally participant will receive a gift bag and breast cancer awareness materials, plus a one-year subscription to a magazine of choice. To raise additional funds, a silent auction is being held. Bidding will close shortly after dinner on July 14. Winning bidders will be announced in the Links and the Ladies League blog.
Rally For A Cure, in partnership with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, is a golf program dedicated to spreading awareness in the fight to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.
