09 Women's League Season was wrapped up in style

The 2009 Women's League season has came to a end in September. The last two weeks of league featured Shoot-Outs followed by the final awards dinner. The following is the summary of the results from 09:

Eligibility:
You must be a member of Lake Panorama National and have an established
handicap.

Entry Fee:
The entry fee is $55.00 which includes a team shirt, prizes, Thursday night
rally and Sunday dinner for you and your spouse/significant other. Deadline is July 23.

When and Where:
The 2009 event will start with a 3-hole scramble during league play on Thursday, August 27, 2009, followed by the 6:30 pm rally at the Links with team selection, shirt handout and team pictures.

Sunday, August 30th golf tee times will begin at 11:00 am. Verify your starting time with the Pro Shop and be on the course ready to tee off at least
30 minutes before your match. Each foursome will have their pictures taken on
first tee.

2-Gal Invitational a Flying Success

Last Thursday, June 25 was the 12th Annual 2-Gal Invitational held at Lake Panorama National Golf Course. There was a record turnout with 50 2-Gal teams that enjoyed great weather, golf, lunch and fun.

Rally for a Cure

A special event to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research will be held Thursday, July 16 in conjunction with the Lake Panorama National women's golf league competition. Participants are asked to wear something pink.

Those who register and pay $20 will be in the "closest-to-the-pin" contest. Anyone whose drive lands on the green on the designated par-3 hole and stays on wins a golf ball. The person closest to the pin wins a “grand prize”. Each Rally participant will receive a gift bag and breast cancer awareness materials, plus a one-year subscription to a magazine of choice. To raise additional funds, a silent auction is being held. Bidding will begin July 9 and will continue in advance of league play July 16. Bidding will close shortly after league play on July 16. Winning bidders will be announced in the Links and the Ladies League blog.

Rally For A Cure, in partnership with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, is a golf program dedicated to spreading awareness in the fight to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.
